Hi Johny,
If you import some tracks into an audacity project, they all start at time
zero. If you want the audio in one track to start when the audio in the
previous track ends, one way of doing this is to move the audio using align
tracks sub menu, which is on the tracks menu.
It would go something like this:
1. import the files into the project in the order you want them to play.
2. press ctrl+shift+a to deselect everything.
3. select track one (enter toggles whether a track is selected).
4. press k to move the cursor to the end of the audio in the selected track.
5. deselect the track.

then repeat the follow steps for the remaining tracks
1. move to the next track and press enter to select it.
2. on the tracks menu, open the align tracks sub menu, and choose align with
cursor. The audio in the track is time-shifted so that it starts at the cursor,
which you'd previously moved to the end of the audio in the previous track.
3. press k to move the cursor to the end of the audio in the selected track.
4. press enter to deselect the track.

David.

Hi. Simple beginner question...I hope. Just want to know the steps to add
tracks into a project. I've recorded voice links and want to drop them into a
project with songs. How do I paste the tracks after each other? I wat to be
able to put the cursor at a certain place and paste a track. How can I do that?
When I try, all tracks start at the same place, namely the start. Thanks loads
