I doubt that was a bug in Audacity, but rather something to do with the way
WASAPI works. There was no difference here after upgrading to 2.3.1.
Interestingly, not only does the track stay as 0, but nothing shows in the
record meter.
I am recording through a USB mixer. What arrangement are you using?
By the way Jacob, keep turning those pedals. A friend and I enjoy a ride each

Ok, and, FWIW, seems one of those bugs was exactly the thing just discussed
here on the list - windows WASAPI loopback recording - just recorded a small
clip of NVDA reading out various things to me, with no issues.
