the guide written by david bales is very very useful, although it is written
for JAWS, but it applies to NVDA as well in its entirety as i noticed. so long
as you are aware of the various keystrokes of nvda, then you will be good to go.

I don't know if it's the same problem. I didn't say Audacity should be used
with JAWS if it is unstable. I'm saying that for one reason or another, a
program may be stable when it runs and it may crash on exit. If that is the
only problem, there is no reason not to use the program. I understand that
you had stability problems with Audacity and JAWS other than crashing on
exit. The first message in the series only spoke of crashing on exit and
that is what I was addressing.
As far as orthopedic problems are concerned, I don't know if there are ways
around them. I don't know what you have investigated or tried. But sticky
keys may be an option. If not, then perhaps using NVDA with audacity won't
be a good solution but if you explain what the problems are, those with far
more knowledge about NVDA used with Audacity may be able to offer possible
work arounds.

I rely too heavily on Audacity and Jaws to put up with crashing of any
kind! So, I want the products I use to be stable. Furthermore, from
what I have read, it is the same problem. There are extenuating
orthopedic reasons why I cannot just jump to using NVDA also.

I was getting this message with both Audacity and Winamp back in April
when I upgrated to Creator's Edition. I rolled back Windows and am
reluctant to upgrade again for fear of having the same trouble.
