I also suggest checking what you have set as host in Audacity. Select MME,
Direct Sound or Windows WASAPI. Make sure that it is not something that
includes loopback.

Hi Rick,
Can you record from your microphone using other programs?
For example if you first make the microphone the default recording device for
windows, can you record yourself using the voice recorder app which comes with
Windows by default?

Hi guys:
I was using loop back for some time but want to record some mike tracks.
I set the device input to use my Mike and it looks like it is set up ok.
I Made no change to outputs.
When I hit shift + r the status bar says I am recording and the time remaining
on disk ran down by 2 minutes from xxx hours and 44 minutes to xxx hours and 42
When I stop recording, space bar, look at the selected track start and end
times they are all zeros and the track length is also all zeros.
My Status bar says I am recording but it looks like nothing is being recorded
and there is no playback.
Any ideas on why this may be happening?
