Try this:
1. Press ctrl+shift+’a’ to deselect all tracks in the project
2. Navigate to the track you want to export and press enter to select it
3. Press shift+’j’ and then shift+’k’ to select that track from beginning
to end
4. Then press alt+’f’ to activate the file menu, press ‘e’ for the export
menu (notice the first item is to export as mp3) and press enter
You will now export that specific track you selected to mp3.
If you want to export in a file format other than mp3, use the up and down
arrows to check out what the export sub-menu has to offer before you press
enter in step 4 noted above.
Peace,
David

Hi David,
Thanks! That works. How about exporting a single track from a multi-track
project without deleting the other tracks?
Take care,
Trevor

Hi Trevor,
if you've got a number of tracks in a project, and you want to playback a
single track, you can do so by first soloing that track. The shortcut Shift + S
toggles whether the focused track is soloed.

Hey Gang,
Is there a way to export, or even quickly isolate a track from a multi-track
project without deleting the other project tracks? What I’d like to do is
record an accompanying track, then listen back to and allow others to listen to
said track without having to hear what I was listening to over headphones while
recording.
Thanks!
Trevor
