Good morning,
The fastest way to do this is to select the entire track by hitting Jay, shift
K. Then using truncate.
Press alt see for your exact menu then tea for Tryon Kate.
You will see several edit fields along with a combo box leave most of this as
the default but in the third edit field, change it to one or two seconds by
typing 1.0 or 2.0. Then simply hit enter and the silence is will be reduced to
one or two seconds. This should be much more manageable for you.
