Ouch! Does not sound good. If any consolation, it happens to the best of
them.
Trying to be a bit more positive, I take it that you have saved the project
and can reopen it? Does anything play? How many tracks should there be,
just one or multiple? In either case, does pressing up or down arrow have
the track name and state (selected or not) announced? Note that trying to
move back and forth through a track that is not selected will not work.
If you have in fact erased material and closed the project, Audacity does
not offer an undo facility.
As a side note, I use the uninstall and reinstall routine as a last resort.
In all the years I have been using Audacity, I cannot remember having to
uninstall it. If a problem occurs in more than one project that option is
worth a thought. If one project is corrupted and the cause may be either
human or computer error, reinstalling is probably just going to lose your
settings.

Hi Everyone,
I am in a lot of trouble with this Audacity I think. I am in a project and
apparently erased most of it. The usual commands for navigating the track
aren't working. I have tried reinstalling the program with no results. I
guess my project is toast, but I'm hopping someone can help me rescue it.
