Hi Robbie,
sorry to hear about you being driven nuts.
On my computer and using Jaws 13 and its default settings, it says table before
each track name.
However, you can get Jaws to stop saying table by changing the verbosity
settings.
The easiest way to to this is with audacity running, press insert+v to open the
quick settings dialog for audacity, and change the user verbosity to advanced.
Alternatively, in the settings center you can set any verbosity you want, and
then configure that setting not to include "control group name"

David.

Hi Gary!
I don't think it's necessary. There's just a couple of tool bars and they're
always in the same order. After using them a bit you just memorise which order
they're in. Well, I did anyway. I have minimised my JAWS output to the
essential because if you work with it a lot, surplus information takes up time
and gets on your nerves. Well, again, it does on mine. In fact I have an issue
you might be able to help me with. Every time I change tracks, JAWS announces
"Track Panel" before announcing the track's name. I've tried all kinds of
adjustments but I can't get JAWS to drop that announcement. It drives me nuts.
Any idea of what to do about that?

Cheers, Robbie

Hi all,

Cuong and I have continued to work on the JAWS script.  I am playing with a
couple of things I want some feedback on.  First When you move from toolbars to
track panel to selection bar it identifies the area. I have it speak the name
of the toolbar when you tab to a button in a new toolbar.  In the toolbars
CTRL+TAB moves to the first control in the next toolbar and CTRL+SHIFT+TAB
moves to the last control in the previous toolbar.

Do you like that, or is it too much chatter.

Gary
