I'm sure there will be professional opinions about this but, in my less than
professional opinion, whatever sounds good to you is what is most important.

Hi All,
I've been recording from the Internet through Stereo Mix. I try to get my
recording meter to -6db while monitoring. I've found that in this situation
both the recording and playback volume controls influence the meter reading.
I'm wondering which should be the main or proper one to use or does it
really make a rat's bottom as long as I get to my -6db? Any feedback
appreciated.
