Hi Kirsty,
the newest script should be OK. But if there's any problem, then an
installer for the script of the same vintage is:
https://github.com/campg2j003/JAWS-Script-for-Audacity/releases/download/rel2.1.0/Jaws-Script-for-Audacity_2_1_0.exe

David.

Hi David,

Thanks for the welcome and the links. I presume the newest script will
also be ok for Audacity 2.1.3?

Best wishes,

Kirsty

Hi Kirsty,

welcome to the list. This is a link to the latest version of the installer
for the Jaws script:

https://github.com/campg2j003/JAWS-Script-for-Audacity/releases/download/rel2.2.1/Jaws-Script-for-Audacity_2_2_1.exe

There's a guide to Audacity 2.1.3 for jaws users available:

http://vip.chowo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/jaws/Audacity-2.1.3-Guide.html

You will also be able to open the manual from the help menu, and many on
this list have found it helpful.

If you get stuck, just post your questions on the list,

David.

Hi!

I am a podcaster and I’m familiar with basic sound editing principles, but
I usually use different editing software.

I’m doing a course at the Open University and some of this month’s module
tasks involve the use of Audacity, specifically version 2.1.3.

My initial questions are:

1.       Are there Jaws scripts for Audacity?

2.       Is there any documentation specifically for screenreader users?

Many thanks,

Kirsty
