Hello everybody, I have a thought for a Christmas gift idea but I don't know if it is possible. What I would like to do is import many files into an audacity project, then trim each one so that we have a long clip; then edit each and finally set them up as tracks for a CD. So an example is thee listener would hear Away in a Manger no crib for a bed, the little Lord Jesus lay down his sweet head. The starts in the bright sky look down where he lay, the little Lord Jesus asleep in the hay. Then that song would fade out and the next track would fade in Oh little town of Bethlehem how still we see thee light Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by Yet in thy dark street shineth the ever lasting light the hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight. Etc. So long clips about a verse long and then fading into the next one. Lastly, What I would like to do is take the finished product and somehow burn it to a CD. I don't know if I have to export each track as a mp3 then use CD burning software to do the job or how I might go about it. I will make a note here that this is a gift idea for my family who lost my Dad just under 3 years ago to cancer. So it has emotional significance. Please someone let me know that this is possible. ;-) Brad Erhardt bookmanbrad@xxxxxxx The audacity4blind web site is at //www.freelists.org/webpage/audacity4blind Subscribe and unsubscribe information, message archives, Audacity keyboard commands, and more...
