Adrian is right.  Recording level can (and should) be set before commencing the
recording.  My audio tutorial that Adrian referred to covers that.  In Audacity
it is certainly not possible to pre-set such things as fade in-out and reverb
directly.  I have never had need of Audacity's batch facilities, but that may
offer some potential.  For doing something like a podcast where you want
parameters to be maintained from one recording to the next, that may be
helpful.  For the most part though, I would not want to be predicting such
settings.

Andrew

Hi Manoj
I know that you can for input recording level but not sure about the other
stuff.
This is a link to an audio file that one of the list contributors, Andrew has
made.
It is extremely helpful.

I'm sure this will help.
I am pretty sure that others including Andrew will respond through the day.
Kind regards
Adrian

Hi friends,

Can we set the recording levels in audacity before starting a recording? Levels
such as reverb, echo, fade in and fade out etc?

Best,

Manoj
