Dear all of my new friends,
Well if I wasn’t so dignified, I would jump up and down, do a happy dance,
and shout out of our window, Yah Who! LOLL Why would I do all of these things
you may ask? Well, thank you for asking! *smile* Well the reason is that my
wife and I just received our tax refund, and my lovely wife told me that she
expected me to finalize my new mixer order. So I have officially just ordered
my new Behringer X1222! It is projected to arrive this Friday with a FedEx
delivery. I’m really excited, as you may be able to tell. We have a rather
tight budget, so this mixer represents a significant purchase for our
household. But my wife is almost as excited as I am, since she says that her
excitement comes from me getting something that I can enjoy, while also
relaxing. I should say that I am in the last months of completing a Masters
degree program, so this combined with my job has not allowed a whole lot of
relaxation time. *smile*
So now I get to put Audacity to good use, and I’m looking forward to
finding out what will come out of my creative juices. I use to work at a
studio many years ago, but with me having to pay for studio time now, it is
just too expensive. So I haven’t really been able to do any studio recording
in 10 or 15 years. Now this will change! And together with this new mixer, me
finding Audacity, and all of you folk’s warm welcome to this list and helpful
and valuable guidance, I feel as if I have just been given a whole new toy box!

together in the future! Besides, after working as a musician for so many
years, it is so much fun to have a bit of the excitement put back into music!
