Ctrl+shift+’I’ is the keyboard shortcut for importing audio.
Then you can follow Andrew’s instructions for aligning assuming the two tracks
don’t start at the same time…
Good luck!

How do I import my 2nd track to be a part of the project and then align those
two tracks? 1st track would be the music and 2nd track my voice which would
need to go on top of music. Thanks.

From the Tracks Menu arrow down to Align Tracks. That will give you a number
of options. Which option you choose will depend on the layout of your project.
The options seem to be to be reasonably self-explanatory, but that is after
quite a bit of use.
Let us know if you need more info, including a description of the layout of
your tracks.

How do I align tracks?
I do use audacity quite a bit, but more for editing individual tracks.
Thanks.

From what I can remember, you import both tracks so they end up in the same
project, then you just align where you want the voice track to start speaking
over the music. You can lower the music track a little so that it doesn’t
overshadow the voice track. Perhaps someone else can give you the specifics of
ways to balance the voice and music.

How can I combine my voice audio track already recorded with my music track
which is also already recorded so that the voice plays over the music? Thanks.
