And, you have to send the unsubscribe email from the email address you are
subscribed to the list with.
So, if you’ve got multiple email address’ connected to the same Inbox, you
might be sending email from an address that isn’t subscribed to the list. You
won’t get but errors if you do that.

usually have instructions for doing tasks like unsubscribing in the footers of

And, just so you know, it is considered very bad list ettiquette on lists in
general and will not make people happy if you hijack threads. You didn't even
change the subject line in this case. not changing the subject line cuts down
considerabley on your chances of getting as much help. Many people don't read
messages unless they are interested in the subject line.
If you are starting a new thread, start a completely new message. Don't reply
to an existing one, even if you change the subject line. Just changing the
subject line causes the message to go into the old thread in the archives
because there is header information you don't see in the reply that causes
this. It also causes people who organize their mail by subject, called by
conversation, to see your message in the wrong conversation.
