[audacity4blind] looping in Audacity

Hi All,
I recorded a track, then looped it. Then I went into my preferences and changed
some things, but I can't remember exactly what I changed. After that, when I
try to fast forward through a track, the track goes back to the beginning. This
happens on every recording and song that I import. Is there anything that any
of you can tell me that might help me?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
