There are several tutorial-type resources available. David may send you a link
to a thorough one. Last year I recorded this audio introduction

I also strongly encourage you to look through Audacity’s menus, as that will
give you a lot of information as to what can be done. Also press alt-h to open
the user guide, most of which is relevant to screen reader users.
