While haven't done too much with virtual audio devices in past, the ones I've tested sometimes interfered with real sound playback/operations, and therefore interfered with screen reader usage - I might be wrong, but, be careful..<smile> That's also why, sometimes I'm glad I have my sort of extra, external USB sound card adapter that seems to take over audio output automatically when you plug it in, etc. - form of backup.
