Hi Pam,

Thank you for your help. I think that my copy is different from the one on
google. "to come in and assist us" is on my page 9. My page 10 begins with
"we had reserved for our Mother"

On my copy, page 17 has: ""ignis fatuus," deluding; still and still deluding!"

Then, my first page 18 begins: "uncultured beauty spreading out so lavishly"

My second page 18 begins "appears to be their chief delight"

My page 19 begins Chapter IV

Unfortunately there is no ISBN on this copy. I did put in a query to Carie,
but I have heard nothing for 4 weeks now. Perhaps I should be more patient and
wait for her answer. Again, thanks for your help!

Marty

Martha,

I took a look under "books.google.com" and they do not have an extra "page 18".
Here is what each page starts with:

Page 16: come in and assist us, the nearest one being two miles distant,
Page 17: we had reserved for our mother was all consumed;
Page 18: might ascertain what had taken place. There stood Jinnie
Page 19: Christian resignation and patience which had charcterized (real
spelling in text!) her throughout her sufferings.
Page 20: CHAPTER III.

I sure hope this helps to solve the mystery you have!

Pam

Hi Jamie,
The book is “Incidents In The Life Of A Blind Girl” by Mary L. Day. The
page numbers were at the bottom and I moved them to the top. Thanks for your
help!
Marty

I wonder if maybe the book had page numbers at the bottom, the scanner moved
the numbers to the top, missed moving one page number and that next page got
numbered the same?

What book is it? Maybe one of us can take a visual look?
