Hello Gisela, I have seen the spaces in the middle of words. I am not sure what causes that in the scan. I saw it a lot in the book The Lost Souls Handbook. A tip I discovered with scanned. Started working on the golden Age of Science Fiction here today. The book is older with yellowed pages. I upped the brightness setting from 50 which I normally use to 80 and was able to jump the recognition from the low 90's to 99 percent. :) Kaitlyn, Happy fourth! I'm actually on a Linda lael Miller kick and have several of her books. they were scanned in large print and rated fair but the scans don't desrve that rating. Really its just lots of cosmetic work; example, spaces in the middle of words. They're throughout and I'm trying to catch them all but I don't know how much that would effect the rating. I guess alot because the words aren' tunited so it doesn't recognize the words. I don't know! gisela: who got a bit side tract with this post.
