Hi G. Cindy and all,
The screen reader distinguishes between the different quotes.
Sometimes it will say apostrophe instead of quote, and so you know.
Other screen readers say single-quote. I've known screen readers to
say, "tick" too. That particular screen reader used to say "bang!" for
exclamation points. I think that was ASAP, if I remember right. Heck,
I can't keep 'em all straight: VOS, ASAP, Flipper, ASAW, Jaws,
Window-Eyes, Speakup, Orca! Oh, there was Vocal-Eyes too. Lord, how
many is that? <sigh>L I feel old, ancient in computer terms. Try
this on for size, folks, my first computer had a ten megabyte hard drive!
