Roger; I can see where you coming from. Being a mother of 5, 3 of which are ferocious readers, I didn't "protect" what they were reading during the early years. On a bookstore outing one afternoon, my then 9-year old picked up a book that I didn't pay much attention to which was a erotic book by the author Zane. After we were home and she was reading the book, I asked what did she purchase and after she told me, I was upset (to say the least) After a intense dialogue with her about her selection of the book, she informed me that she had already one of her books from her older sister and this is when the lightbulb came on for me. Like I said I had never censored the older children from what they were reading, honestly, it was out-of-sight-out-of-mind for me. The book I would like to scan has some really graphic scenes in it and although I feel one way when it comes to this, I still would like to be considerate of others feelings about the subject. I am taking this topic like the debate over whether to send your child to the time-out/naughty chair or pop/whip (or in South Carolina country terms cut their rear ends. Getting the whipping worked for me and I am as sane as I can be (by my definition, at least) whereas another adult is traumatized by the act. *shrug* Netta "Just because you are blind does not mean you lack vision"-Stevie Wonder
