Amazon now has a foundation tha will donate .5% of the purchase price of
an item to one's favorite charity. I signed up to give to bookshare.org (
aka on the site Benetech.org
.5% isn't much but it will accumulate. The only catch is that one has to
make the purchases at a sister website: smile.amazon.com not the
Amazon.com website. As far as I can tell, checking the prices for items I
have in mind, the prices are the same,. The only things I found from what
I read that don't qualify are fire stick and Kindle purchases ( neither
of which I buy anyway. I haven't bought anything yet but we will be
making purchases , soon probably, (as soon as my grandchildren are ready
for more books or books hubby & I want aren't available as print books
from teh library available from the library. ( or we want something else
Amazon offers for a good price
