Hi, Gail. It looks like this: (c) Some speech synthesizers and sapi voices can read the copyright symbols correctly and will just say the word copyright. Others don't even seem to notice that it's there. The Openbook voices tend not to read the symbol, and that can be confusing if you validate with Openbook. To write it can be a challenge too unless you use Jaws. If you use Jaws, just press insert and the number 4 on the row of numbers at the top of your keyboard. You'll get a list of symbils that you can arrow through. Pressing enter on one of these symbols will put that symbol in your document. If I need to put a symbol into a document in either Kurzweil or Openbook, I open Notepad and use Jaws to put the symbol on a blank line. Then I copy it to the clipboard and paste it into my file in Kurzweil or Openbook. I hope this helps. -- Monica Willyard Visit my blog at http://www.scannersguild.com To unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
