Hi Kim, The symbol you want is the letter o with the caret symbol over it - ô - which is called circumflex, apparently. I don't know if this works in older versions of Word, but I know the shortcut key in 2010 for this symbol is SHIFT + CTRL + 6, and then the letter. So SHIFT + CTRL + 6, o for the symbol you want. If you ever needed the caret symbol over a capital letter, it would be SHIFT + CTRL + 6, SHIFT + letter.
