Thanks E.  But I scanned with FineReader and then cleaned up in Word
per usual.  I see no extra page breaks and apparently, neither does
Carrie.  I don't know who the validator was as they are just listed as
the annonymous "A BookShare Volunteer," but that person is the one who
saw extra page breaks.  So I'm guessing that whatever program they
used to edit did the extra page break thing.  Perhaps this happens
when you validate using K1000 version 11 as well?

Anyway, the bottom line is that the extra page breaks aren't really
there in the scan.
