I know it's none of my business, and I have weighed in on this subject before, but as long as it's come up again . . . I've both scanned and validated my scans before submitting and also validated books from the download list, and I've found the latter almost as time-consuming and more difficult (sometimes there were many pages missing that needed to be scanned). I know there's no way to evaluate and award credits upon the basis of ease or difficulty of the validation or the quality of the scan -- that would be ideal -- but maybe the credits could be equalized a little bit -- and maybe, as someone here suggested, if validators got more credit more people would validate.
