Hi Martha, Okay, your message is really, really old, and I would be willing to bet that someone already answered it, but I kept it for some reason, so assume I intended to answer you. When you find a single dash or what I call a hyphen where you know there should be a long dash or two hyphens, please fix it so that words that are appearing as compound words appear as they should. That is, create pauses using either the em dash or two hyphens instead of leaving a single hyphen. Sorry this message is so long in coming, though I'd be willing to bet that some more on the ball soul already helped you. Sorry for repeating instruction already if indeed it was already given. Can you tell, I'm cleaning out my e-mail? I probably shouldn't keep answering old messages that I can't remember exactly why I kept. Okay, going back to my hole now. In most books, there is usually a long dash or a double dash there. My question is, should I put in double dashes where there ought to be a pause in the reading of the text instead of the single dash? This would diferentiate the single dash (or hyphen) from the double dash where there should be a pause. Thanks! Martha Rafter Proud Volunteer with http://www.bookshare.org
