Desiree: the definitive guide to my scan. lol I have to admit that I wouldn't like all my effort to go to waste, but then no one else does either. :-) I did scan with French and English character recognition, so the accented characters will almost always be correct. Noone needs a bunch of 6's all over the place, and that is a guaranteed occurrence with only English OCR on. You won't have to delete gobs of junk characters, or fix linebreaks either, because I can't stand that kind of mess and make sure it either doesn't happen or is illiminated. There also will be no missing pages unless I find them and tell you about them, and if there is I must have put a few extra ins somewhere, because the print page numbers and Kurzweil defined pages match up. Mostly what you will find is short words missing completely, when I wasn't sure what they were, and messed up names, when I couldn't figure out which OCR rendition was correct. Sorry but I took out the really funny things like: "I wanted to ask if Julie, the children and I might drive to Malmaison in your carnage," and "We bathe oftener than other people because Papa had very modem ideas."
