[bksvol-discuss] Digest version of list

I got the digest form when it was managed by yahoo, or
whatever. When it transferred to freelists, I chose
the nondigest method. I found that if I wanted to
respond to an email I had to write the response in a
separate word document and send it after I finished
all the mail; otherwise I'd have to delete all the
mail before and after the one I was responding to, and
I couldn't delete individual posts so I'd after to
scroll down again to the next post.

If we all remembered to change the subject lines, then
if one read the subject line and wasn't interested in
the list, one could delete it and skip to the next.
Now I read the first line of a post just in case it's
not what the subject line says and then delete it if
I'm not interested in it. I keep ones I might want to
respond to if no one else has, and then come back to
it after I've read all the mail, or delete it if
someone else has responded.
