I'm just curious, but why is the 1650 better than the 1670? I happen to have
the 1650, and you'd think newer models would be better, but I know that's
not always true. Just curious. Take care.

Jackie,

Both those scanners are okay but between the two of them, you should choose
the 1650 if you can not find the 1660. Did you try the Epson site itself?
For a while, a short time ago, they had the Epson Perfection 1660 scanners
for $65 again but don't know whether or not they still do. Good luck.

.I was looking for the Epson 1660 scanner discussed in July on this list. I
found Epson perfection 1650 and Epson Perfection 1670. Each is $69,
refurbished. Are those okay substitutes for the Epson 1660? Nobody
mentioned the work Perfection, and these are photo scanners, so I wasn't
sure. Please help.
