I have just uploaded Eve in the City by Thomas
Rayfiel. This is the sequel to Colony Girl which has
just recently made it into the collection. All the
headers are removed but I just realized it needed a
final spell check. It should be an easy validation
though. I haven't read it yet though so please don't
tell me what happens!

Here is the book description:

Seventeen-year-old Eve has recently arrived in New
York City from a religious colony in the heartland,
hoping to find herself amid the lights and noise and
sea of anonymous faces that make up Manhattan. Now she
works in a dingy after-hours bar in Times Square.
After her shift ends, Eve roams the streets.

One night she witnesses what may be a murder. In the
shadows of a building, a woman struggles with a man,
then leaves him bleeding on the pavement. As Eve
attempts to understand what she actually saw, she
becomes involved with an up-and-coming artist; meets a
peculiar, fatherlike detective; and contemplates a
marriage proposal. Everyone seems to want something
from Eve. Now if only she can figure out what,
exactly, she has within her to give.
