I just came across the list that someone posted a while back and that I had copied (notes are either mine or what the poster posted at the time--Gerald? Kellie? Jake? Caarrie?) Since questions have arisen here on the list lately, here is what she said after, I believe, what were then new hires. smile Cindy Who's in charge of what at bookshare: Janice: General Manager. Limited contact with members and volunteers, if any now that John has been hired. Gustavo: Administrator. Title also says he's the Website Manager, but as far as I know, he only updates the info on the main page and the volunteer home page. I expect him to continue to generate Marissa's Lists. Also handles member and volunteer accounts. My impression is that he's still the lowest person on the totem pole despite having Manager in his title. Will have a more limited roll with members and volunteers now that John has been hired. Not sure if he'll continue to do the newsletter. Gustavo.g@xxxxxxxxxxxx Suzie: Works with schools and handles school accounts. No contact with members and volunteers except at conferences. Jennifer: Supervisor for in-house volunteers. Researching ways to improve the collection. Job description said that she will supervise new upgrades, which I'm interpreting as being the person on this list who will interact with Engineering in order to explain what I would loosely term as requirements. I don't think she's very technical, so I can't say for sure what her duties regarding upgrades will be other than providing Engineering with a high-level explanation of what the goals of upgrades are, and acting as the main point of contact between the Bookshare staff and Benetech Engineering. She's also taking over for Janice in regards to the Tech Advisor Group. No contact with members and volunteers except at conferences and with Tech Advisor Group. John: Customer Support. Will be the primary contact for members and volunteers. He'll be taking over more and more of the day to day contact with the list from Janice and Gustavo. Sounds like he'll be the one to provide news to the list from now on, so he may be taking over the newsletter, he may just be determining the content of the newsletter in a managing editor type of role, or may have nothing to do with it. I expect him to assist with admin duties, but haven't heard that he is or will be doing so yet. john.g@xxxxxxxxxxxx; John Glass, our Customer Support Manager at support@xxxxxxxxxxxxx, or Gustavo.g __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
