[bksvol-discuss] Finding a list of books you've proofread or scanned for volunteers who aren't also members (was Re: trilogy pagination)

Hi Cindy, the Narnia collection that's added in 2013 is a publisher copy. smile.

I don't think there is a way for you to get a list of the books you've done for the collection, since you're a volunteer but not a member. Members can find that information easily just by clicking links that are at the bottom of the page for a book in the collection that was submitted by volunteers. That link lets a member see all books submitted by the volunteer who submitted the book that you're looking at.

However, there is a way a non-member volunteer can get that information. You have to be logged in as a volunteer and it only works if and only a book you've proofread has been uploaded for approval and is still in the "Books awaiting approval" queue. In that special circumstance, you can go to the Books Awaiting Approval page, then click on the "Awaiting Approval" link. Scroll down to the Book title of the book you proofread that's in the queue, and click on the title. Then go down to the "Proofread by" link and click on your name. Presto! You'll get a list of all the books you've proofread that are already in the collection. You can do the exact same thing if you scan books by clicking on the "Scanned by" link for a book that you've scanned that is sitting in the "Awaiting Approval" queue, but as I recall you don't do any scanning anymore so you won't have any books in the approval queue that will let you do that.

You can also ask any member you know, or Madeleine, to log in and get a list of the books you've proofread that are in the collection, if you know the title of a book you've submitted in the past that's still in the collection. Any book you submitted has a link at the bottom of the page like the one above that will let a member see all the books that were submitted by the volunteer who did that particular title. Unfortunately, that link isn't available unless you're are a member, and logged in.

Hope that helps. smile.

It occurred to me that the book I did so long ago might have been The Chronicles of narnia, so I checked the collection (and see there's one added in 2013; is that yours? I found one I'd done and also, by clicking on my name found 28 early books I did; I've saved the list; somewhere else I have a list of 100? Is it possible to get a complete list? I think it's very long, because I've been doing this for a lot of years, and my list of 100 refers to 126+ requests; from time to time someone asks a proofing question and I'd like to refer them to a book in the collection that I did in a way that would answer the question.
