If you're referring to the Victor Reader Soft edition included with
Bookshare membership, that particular edition of the player can only play
Bookshare DAISY books. If you wanted to play RFB&D books on your PC, you'd
have to purchase a software DAISY player (such as the full version of Victor
Reader Soft) and, if you didn't purchase your software from RFB&D directly,
you'll have to pay extra for a User Authorization Key (UAK) from RFB&D (note
that there are some players, such as FSReader, BookWizard, and GHPlayer,
which RFB&D supports by providing the UAK for customers to purchase, but
they do not sell the software, so you have to purchase it directly from the
manufacturer). See the "Players and Accessories" section of RFB&D's Web site
for more details.

As for where you can download Victor Reader Soft, Bookshare Edition, go to
the Bookshare site, log in, click on the "Download Tools" link, click on the
link called "PC Running Windows or MAC Running Virtual PC", then the
"Continue to DAISY Format Reader Download Page" link, and finally on the
button called "Download VR Soft". Once download has completed, run the file
to install the player; note that the DAISY player download page (the page on
which the "Download VR Soft" button is found) contains files such as a Quick
Start guide which you might find helpful.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Free Daisy Player

Does anyone know whether the free Daisy Player program work with the RFB&D
electronic books? Also, how do I download the player onto my computer? Right
now, I am using my Kurzweil program to read and listen to the Book Share
books.
