Yup, that works anywhere you are running jaws. You can even use that to put a character in an edit box for searches. The only problem I have found with that system, is that I recently needed letters with umlauts and they aren't in that list. To get arround that problem I have made myself a text file consisting of the numbers 1-225 and the ASCII character that is created by typing that number on the num-pad while holding down alt.
