Pam, I'm posting here rather than writing to you
privately in case others who haven't read any of her
books are interested.

They are wonderfully detailed, and in an interesting
way, worked in as part of the plot and not in a boring
way,as to historical events and people, clothing,
food, and social and domestic customs (I'd always
wondered about bathrooms in castles and what women did
about  their monthly events, for example, and these
are included ,too, as anatural part of the stories)..
They are also romances, with happy endings eventually,
and interesting plots. Be warned, however, that there
are a lot of explicit sex scenes, in some books more
than others. One can, if one wants, skip those and get
on with the story, just as one can skip the meal
descriptions, which I do now. All of he books, I
think, should be rated Adult, but some I see are not.
