Alternatively if you are sure you are willing to improve a book, or do not have access to the collection, it's possible to request a book be put back in the validation pool. This has the advantage of not being in HTML, so items like page breaks should be present, but has the disadvantage of undoing the previous validators work. In addition if the book was submitted in KES, ARK or any other proprietary format you'll need that program to open the file.

People who resubmit books using the HTML as the original source should remember to delete the bookshare notice at the top, so that the file begins with the first page of the book. Of course I meant the first page of the book scanned, not the beginning of the story. The copyright page is obviously still required.

You should also make sure that there are page breaks just above each page number that appears in the HTML file, and that no excess page breaks exist. I say this because I suspect that page breaks are not a normal part of HTML files, so you want to make sure that the page breaks present aren't artificial ones inserted by Word, which are really useless.

If the errors are translation errors, resubmitting the BRF file is OK,
but Cindy's right. If there are a lot of errors and they're scanning
errors, the DAISY format would need to be reformatted as well, and
that would require either rescanning or correcting the DAISY format,
too. When you take the DAISY file, extract the HTML file and convert
it to RTF, then correct that copy, both the DAISY and BRF files will
be corrected. Take care.
