Dear Volunteers,

I loved the first 3 HP books. Though the deaths in the fourth and fifth books really upset me, I can't help myself about wanting to know how the story continues in the upcoming sixth volume.

Thanks to National Braille Press, I could afford to buy the first 5 books in the series in paper braille and have prepaid to receive, HP and the Half Blood Prince. It takes a few weeks for NBP to produce and mail out the paper braille editions. I read that Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic is having a marathon volunteer session to make it available within 24 hours of it's official midnight release. I didn't invest in becoming a subscriber to recorded books because Book Share has such a wealth of choices to augment NLS offerings, I can't read fast enough now and I'm so happily occupied that investing in another book source seems absurd right now unless I can get a time turner like Hermione in HP and fit more hours in the day.

I am writing to ask if any of you know if book share has plans to make a special project of preparing Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince quickly so we can listen to it, or in my case, transfer it to read in braille on my braille note, soon after its release. I know I could pre order the unabridged audio version and collect it at midnight with the other HP enthusiasts, but I enjoy books so much more when I read them in braille. If it means waiting to read it in braille first, I'll gladly do it. However, I had to ask. It would be fun to participate in the frenzied discussions that abound when the excited Rowlings fans get the book and often stay up all night reading it.

This question wasn't meant to be pushy or demanding. I'm so grateful for book share's huge selection of books I can now read in braille. I was just curious and wanted to know so I can imagine the release date realistically.

Always With Love,

Lissi
