Hey Angel;
Here is how you do it. After opening up your copy of the book, navigate to
the page in question and do the following.
1. at the top of the page, move to the first line of text and then hit the
"home" key. This will put you at the first word of the sentence. If there is
not a blank line there, then hit the enter key to insert a blank line.
2. Move down to the next sentence (simply doing a down arrow will do this)
The next instructions is providing that the chapter heading is there.
3. Once you get to the chapter heading (Chapter 1). Highlight the
text )selecting it) and then 16 pt. font and bold it.
4. Next hit the "enter" key to move down to the next line.
5. Add your asterisks with spaces in between (* * *).
6. Hit the "enter" key again to insert another blank line.
7. The next line should be the body of the text for that chapter.
NOTE: Take note that you must also be aware of page numbers either at the
top of your document or at the bottom of the document, wherever you choose
to place them or wherever the scanner placed them. Remember your corrected
format should look like this:
BLANK LINE
PAGE NUMBER (IF APPLICABLE)
CHPATER HEADING
BLANK LINE
3 ASTERISKS WITH SPACES
BLANK LINE
TEXT OF THE CHAPTER
BLANK LINE
PAGE NUMBERS (PROVIDED THAT THEY ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF DOCUMENT)
BLANK LINE
PAGE BREAK
Like I said I know that this may seems confusing at times and personally
speaking (from experience) sometimes a question posed to the list may
confuse you even more. When this happens, I just send Madeleine a email to
ask her the question to avoid any confusion on my part.
