Hi, Gwen, I'm at the beginning of the other side of the loop, namely, I'm a
new proofreader, yet to discover if the submitter's file sent to and
proofread by me will be accepted or rejected. What we are working to
accomplish involves frustration for both of us. You are scanning stuff and
I'm still chicken about scanning books. You feel trepidation for you want
the stuff you submit to look fine; I hope to do a good job and feel
trepidation because I'm afraid of messing up the submitter's file. We both
want to help add to the Bookshare collection and we want to insure that the
quality of files is very high, thus affording other folks a pleasurable
read. I suppose this is par for the course in learning other skills. We are
not born with built-in knowledge of anything, hence, we stumble or succeed
by turns. We learn nothing by osmosis. Sometimes we can grasp skills while
at other times they skills will evade our attempts to understand. We didn't
learn Braille in a day. If things get too frustrating, do something that is
fun or relaxing until you feel you can tackle what you were doing. Maybe
you'll think better if you're not frustrated. Good luck, Kim.

I just can't seem to get my books to come out right,
I can read them here and they sound fine I look at each page and it all
seems to go in order,
all I erase are the headers being very careful to not erase any numbers
whatsoever
but still their are pages missing
I can't see the missing pages from here
if the attachment can be sent gonna send it to Bob he has all of his books
approved because he is a pains takingly wonderful scanner and has been
putting out excellent books for years.
I hate to give up, it goes against my grain
but I can't keep working myself this hard without the book being excepted
and right so after some thinking for the next couple of days,
and yes for me prayer,
you may be less one volunteer because I've been working like crazy and
thought I would have a load of stuff to help out you folks, but so far all
I've been able to do is make a mess.
