Jana, I'm sorry to hear about your mom, but glad it's not you, and believe
me, your time staying there with her is well spent. when I left my dad
alone in the hospital for just a short while, he developed  a bedsore on
his foot because the nurses didn't pay attention to the fact that he was
diabetic; he almost lost his foot and, though he didn't, a long stay in a
nursing home (where I visited every day to be sure he was well taken care
of and nothing else happened, resulted.
