This is really helpful.  Thank you Mary!! However, a question.  What are
"smart quotes"?  Is that the apostrophe in braille that shows up instead of
the regular quotes? I understand the apostrophe is placed around quotes
within quotes, but I have fixed many a book changing apostrophes at
beginning and end of quotes with the regular braille quotes.  In print, are
these really quotes when looked at?

I'm not sure if anything has been mentioned here yet formally, but the
volunteer manual has new sections with instructions for proofreading in
Kurzweil and instructions for proofreading in Microsoft Word that may help
with a lot of questions. The instructions for Kurzweil were added earlier
this month, and the instructions for Word were just added at the end of this
week.
