I put the numbers at the top where chapters start and leave the others alone except erase the page number of the page where chapter starts. There is a tool in which it will put the page numbers at the top if they are at the bottom from was stated here on the list. ----- Original Message ----- From: Reggie & Brooks To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, August 27, 2010 9:09 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Is this permissible? I am currently proofing "The Torching." I have been taking out headers and making certain page numbers and chapters are protected. However, and it took some time for me to recognize it, duh, at the beginning of different sections, chapters the number of the page turns out to be at the bottom. I havbe been putting them at the top at first not realizing how the book was set up. Should I try to place the page number back on the bottom of the pages I moved them from or can I leave them at the top? Reggie
