From what I've seen in the U.S. Copyright office's database, Nora Roberts
either has another pseudonym named Eleanor Wilder, or both the Robb and
Roberts names are pseudonyms for Wilder. I think it's the former.
In any case, prolific authors often use pseudonyms to boost book sales
because publishers have said they find that some people won't buy all the
books by the same author if the author writes several books a year. Also,
the Robb books are a bit different in that they are a little more SciFi and
Mystery/Suspense than romance, so they could get overlooked in the bookstore
by people who aren't into romance if she puts Nora Roberts on the cover.
If you haven't tried the series yet, then you might want to wait until I can
get the first book in the series rescanned in the next couple of weeks since
it turns out it's missing some words.

Yes, they are written by Nora Roberts. She uses the pseudonym of J. D.
Robb, instead of her real name, for them. Who knows why...
