I am also using word 2002; how do you get it not to say its own numbers; at
least I guess that's what I'm hearing since they don't show up on my braille
display. .

  Hi guys:

Before I submit a book, I check that the page numbers are there, and if
there is a blank page I skip the blank page a put a comment in the following
page, Page 128 is a blank page
on page 129 near the top and so on.
If the page is a picture what I do is to write a caption of the picture
and type the page number, so I can keep the exact number of pages in the
submission file.

Also there are pages at the beginning of the books that are not part of the
book body numeration, sometimes there are six or more unnumbered pages.
The thing is to include all the book info and text from the hardcopy<smile
The program I use is Word XP 2002

The way I handle books that have pictures and captions on non numbered
pages is to skip the pictures and keep the numbered pages in order. Then I
scan the pages with pictures and captions and place them at the end of the
book, with a note in the table of content that photos are at the end of the
  book.
