Amber go to settings and then to conversion settings. Make sure to unand make sure to go through all the options and make the others how you want them. I do not have paragraphs indent and I do not have kurzweil add blank lines. I suspect you do not want those either. Please notice there are options for braille, text and "other documents" and for opening and saving documents.
As long as you have "split long pages" disabled in all cases you will not get extra blank pages when opening and saving a file.
E.check "split long pages". Make sure to check what the settings are for opening and saving files.
