Hmmm, you should probably write to the K1000 list. There are people there
with a lot of technical knowledge, including those from the company. Are you
subscribed to that?

I have tried that, and nothing happens. I close Kurzweil, and relaunch it,
only to find the microsoft voice back.

What happens if you go into Settings, change the speech back to
Eloquence, then save your settings under Default? Then reload K1000 and see
which speech you get. Have you tried that?

        Hi, all.

Something very strange has happened to my kurzweil. For some reason,
it's voice has defaulted to microsoft narrator, which is horrid, rather than
eloquence, which I prefer. I uninstalled, and re-installed, and still, the
problem persists. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I'm running
version 11, on a windows XP machine.
