Hi Shelley!

Thanks for explaining further. I might see what my library does anyway. There is so much construction in town that I'd like to stay away from construction sites.

Hi Debbie

Smile, I wish they would deliver, right to my home, but actually I believe there are libraries that do that, smile. I know that one in Saint Mary's down south of us delivers to people who can't get to the library, smile.

But what I meant, is I can borrow books from all over Erie County. I go to the Corry Public Library to pick them up and return them. The library is in walking distance for me, on good days, smile, so I just walk up there and drop off and pick up my books. Smile. What I meant by delivery, is the truck comes from the different libraries to Corry twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. But since Christmas is on a Friday they will be closed, so I will have to wait till next Tuesday to get the book for Monica.

I do a lot of scanning of library books, in fact most of the books I do are library books. Just easier smile, and cheaper that way.

Hi Shelley!

Before the days of the internet, I had a library card and would check out music or audio books mostly, and an occasional print book. Are you saying that your library mails you the books? I thought the patrons had to go to the library to check them out and return them as I used to do, but, I must admit that I don't have an account on either of our local library's web sites, so I am completely out of touch on how the online world of library checking out and returning books works. It would be cool to get books from the library to either scan or have at hand while proofreading to spot check with the optacon when I come across a tough scano or to scan the pages that are missing.

Hi Monica,

Erie County Libraries has it. I requested it, but since the next delivery of books would be um on Christmas Day, it will be probably next week when I can get it.

Smile, but I requested it and there is one copy in at the moment so it will probably be sent to me.

Hi everyone. I'm looking for a book and am writing to ask if you'd check to see if your library has it. If you'll scan, I'll gladly proofread and strip headers. My book budget is depleted at the moment. (smile)
