Sorry, folks, I respectfully disagree. We have invested our hard earned money
on
a limited income to add books to the collection, and since I do not read for
pleasure, only reading via scanning or proofreading or working on books for our
daughter to read, who cannot talk, so we can discuss them together, I feel
having holds on our books that we share with scanners is reasonable.

Having said that, we are also glad to work with very thorough volunteers to
ensure everything is as nearly perfect as possible, including how it appears
visually and in Braille, including navigation and proper paragraphing and
pagination in addition to picture descriptions where needed. Many of the books
we do are hard to find older books, but I feel it is our right to choose who we
may want to handle our "babies".

We often help others and take on books considered difficult, all for the
benefit
of the entire Bookshare community. A little leeway on our projects is only
fair. Smiles.
 Valerie

just my opinion I think if theres not a specific reason like a book having
images or a hard to get book it should be first come and not all this hold
stuff
or there should be a limit on them
