Sorry, folks, I respectfully disagree. We have invested our hard earned money on a limited income to add books to the collection, and since I do not read for pleasure, only reading via scanning or proofreading or working on books for our daughter to read, who cannot talk, so we can discuss them together, I feel having holds on our books that we share with scanners is reasonable. Having said that, we are also glad to work with very thorough volunteers to ensure everything is as nearly perfect as possible, including how it appears visually and in Braille, including navigation and proper paragraphing and pagination in addition to picture descriptions where needed. Many of the books we do are hard to find older books, but I feel it is our right to choose who we may want to handle our "babies". We often help others and take on books considered difficult, all for the benefit of the entire Bookshare community. A little leeway on our projects is only fair. Smiles.
